Hi there! Isn’t the March release from Your Next Stamp fantastic?! There are so many amazing new products! My absolute favorite, however, is the adorable Blossom stamp set. I have a weakness for puppies, and that one is just so cute!
I stamped the image with Black Olive Dye ink. That ink is perfect for Copics, but also works great for colored pencils and Gamsol, which is what I used to color this sweet image. After coloring, I die-cut the image into a circle before setting it aside to prep my card.
Don’t you just love that patterned paper?! It’s from the new Geometrics 6×6 Paper Pad. After adhering some red cardstock to a white card, I trimmed down some of the herringbone paper and die-cut it with a circle die that was slightly larger than the one I used to die-cut my image. I glued the larger piece to my card, popped up my colored image with foam tape, and then adhered the smaller piece. I stamped the greeting from Blossom onto white cardstock, which I bannered. I affixed it to a red banner and glued it on top of some die-cut circles. I finished the card with the new Gumdrops, which coordinate perfectly with the new paper pad.
My second card features the adorable Countryside Cuties stamp set. Aren’t those critters too sweet?! Again, I stamped my images with Black Olive Dye ink, but this time I colored everything with Copics. I used the coordinating dies to cut out my images and added some Clear Sparkle Overlay.
To create my scene, I inked up a rectangle of Bristol Smooth paper with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn Distress Inks. I inked up a separate piece with Mowed Lawn for my grass. I flicked water onto both panels and blotted it dry. I die-cut the large ink-blended piece and adhered the positive die-cut directly to a white card. After die-cutting the grass, I used the same rectangle die on it to get the nice stitching detail. I attached the grass in the back before tucking in my fence and adhering the bunny. I popped up the second layer of grass with foam tape.
I die-cut the new Fancy Sweet Die from yellow cardstock and added it to my card. The other portion of my sentiment is from the Cool Tag Banner Sentiments stamp set. I masked off the word “awesome” before inking up the sentiment and stamped it onto white cardstock. After trimming the strip, I popped it up with foam tape. Finally, I added my die-cut frame with two layers of foam tape so that it would be higher than the grass.
