STAMPtember Exclusive by Newton’s Nook Designs

Hi, friends!  It’s Simon Says Stamp’s 10th Anniversary of STAMPtember, and Newton’s Nook Designs has created an adorable set to celebrate.  I’m thrilled to help introduce this set and encourage you to run to Simon Says Stamp to grab it before it’s gone (There is a limited quantity available, and once the set is sold out, it will not be restocked).

Aren’t those kitties and doggies super cute?!  I couldn’t choose which ones to use for my card, so, naturally, I had to use them all!  I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics.  As I’m not a fan of fussy-cutting (and, truthfully, not very good at it), I cut out the images with my ScanNCut.

In order to fit all of those cutie pies, I decided to create a slimline card, which measures 8 1/2″ x 3 1/2″.  For my background I inked up Bristol Smooth paper with distress inks and flicked on water droplets.  After trimming the panel to 8 1/4″ x 3 1/4″, I adhered it to my cardbase.

I adhered the party hats and balloons to my critters and attached the images to my card with foam tape (The gifts were adhered flush to the card).  I added a few details with a white gel pen and brushed lots of clear sparkle over the balloons and gifts.

I die-cut a speech bubble from white cardstock with Newton’s Nook Designs’ Speech Bubbles Die Set.  I stamped a sentiment from the STAMPtember set with Versafine Onyx Black ink and adhered the bubble to my card with dimensional adhesive.  For a little more sparkle, I scattered on a bunch of clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
