Movie Night

Hello, friends!  I absolutely love going to the movies (and eating popcorn, of course!), so I couldn’t resist playing again with the Newton’s Movie Night stamp from Newton’s Nook Designs.  Those kitties are so cute and so much fun to color!

After stamping the images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, I colored them with Copics.  This set is great for trying out different breeds of cat.  I cut everything out with the coordinating dies, added highlights with a white gel pen, and adhered the 3D glasses to the kitties’ faces.  Newton looks especially cool in his glasses!

I die-cut white cardstock with the Framework Die Set, masked the edges, and ink-blended Squeezed Lemonade distress ink over the Popcorn Stencil.  After cleaning the stencil, I placed it back down and spread on clear texture paste for some dimension.  Once that was dry, I adhered the panel to a red mat and then to a white cardbase.

I die-cut the tickets with the Framework Die Set from a leftover piece from this card.  The piece had been created with distress oxide inks and the Cascading Stars Stencil.  Onto each ticket I white heat-embossed a sentiment from Newton’s Movie Night before attaching the tickets to my card.  I die-cut some popcorn pieces with the Newton’s Movie Night dies and added “butter” to the die-cuts with Squeezed Lemonade.  I adhered the popcorn pieces and kitties with foam tape and stamped a second sentiment from the set on the inside of my card in black ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
