Hello, friends! I’m honored to be guest designing for Scrapping for Less‘s May Flavor of the Month Blog Hop. The theme this month is “In the Countryside.” I’m a country girl at heart and love all things Americana, so this month’s kit is right up my alley!
My first card features elements from Collection Two. I stamped that adorable cow from Sunny Studio’s Miss Moo stamp set, exclusive to Scrapping for Less, with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored her with Copics. I cut her out and adhered her to a die-cut circle ink-blended with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn distress inks. I adhered that circle with foam tape to a yellow, die-cut circle.
I just love the patterned papers in this collection! I trimmed down the black check and adhered it to a white card. I glued a strip of the floral paper to some red cardstock before attaching it to my card. I adhered the circles with foam tape and also popped up the die-cut sentiment. A few black sequins from the collection complete the card.
For my second card, I used Collection Three. Aren’t those pigs from Piggy Picnic too cute?! Again, I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored them with Copics, and cut them out. I die-cut that sunny, check paper with a Pretty Pink Posh die and adhered it to a kraft cardbase. After ink-blending some Bristol Smooth paper with Salty Ocean and Mowed Lawn, I die-cut it with the same PPP die and adhered the pieces with foam tape.
I added my colored images to my card, popping up the little piggie in the middle. I stamped a sentiment from Piggy Picnic onto a strip of white cardstock, bannered one end, and adhered it with foam tape. Again, I finished the card with some of the sequins from the collection.
My third card was inspired by Sketch #2 and showcases the adorable critters from Collection Four. I stamped that sweet sheep first, masked her and stamped the chicks and grass. After removing the masks, I colored everything with my Copics and then die-cut the image with a circle die. I stamped a sentiment and adhered the circle to a red one with foam tape.
I trimmed down the blue paper and glued it to my card. I cut two strips from the floral paper and layered them over the blue paper. The teal cardstock is from my stash. I wrapped it with the twine included in the collection and adhered the piece to my card. I popped up the circles with foam tape and added a few sequins.
My fourth card definitely illustrates my love of Americana! I combined ingredients from Collection One with elements from Banana Split. After trimming down that rooster paper, I inked the edges and adhered it to a white card. I cut a strip of the teal, check paper and distressed it. I grabbed a doily from my stash, cut it in half, and tucked it behind the teal paper.
I stamped the image from Technique Junkies onto kraft cardstock and die-cut it into a tag, the edges of which I also inked up. I pulled two strings from the burlap and looped them through the hole in my tag, which I adhered with foam tape to my card. I trimmed “Farm to Table” from one of the patterned papers in the collection and glued it to my card. Using the dies from Banana Split, I die-cut the chick and hen and added them to my card with dimensional adhesive. I distressed the little circle and added it to my card, as well. I adhered some white sequins from the collection and filled the centers with the Nuvo Drops included in Banana Split.
