Hello, friends! I’m sharing a card inspired by Inky Paws Challenge 72, which starts today.
What could be more perfect for a button challenge than some cute doggies?! I mean, don’t the buttons remind you of their cute noses?
Those adorable pups are from Newton’s Nook Designs’ Woof Pack stamp set. I stamped them with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics. I used Lil’ Inker’s Stitched Ovals Dies to die-cut my image.
I embossed some white cardstock with the Pawprints Stencil (It’s easier to see in the next picture) and trimmed a 1/4″ off one side. I adhered a strip of chevron paper to a white card before gluind down the embossed panel.
I popped up my oval with foam tape and added some white highlights with a gel pen and Glossy Accents to the pups’ noses. I white heat-embossed a sentiment from Terrific Terriers onto a strip of black cardstock, which I angled on one end before affixing to my card. Two shiny, black buttons complete the card.
Thanks for stopping by! Would you like a chance to win a $20 gift certificate from Newton’s Nook? Create a project using one of their stamps (They have free ones here.) and following the challenge theme by Friday, May 25th at midnight CST.
