Inky Paws Challenge 70: Watercolored Hydrangeas

Hello, friends!  I hope you had a wonderful weekend!  It’s a rainy, dreary Monday here, but at least we have pretty flowers (on my blog at least) to brighten the gloomy weather.

My card was inspired by the current Inky Paws Challenge 70 and features the gorgeous Lovely Blooms stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs.  As you can see from the challenge image below, I “tweaked” the sketch a bit.

I stamped the images with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Bristol Smooth paper and colored them with my Zigs and a waterbrush.  I stamped a sentiment from the set onto a kraft cardbase before layering my flowers and leaves on top, popping up some with foam tape.

I tied some twine around the top of the card and added some sparkle with clear sequins and Clear Sparkle Overlay.

Thanks for stopping by!  For a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook, be sure to link up a project using a stamp from NND by Friday, April 27th, at midnight CST.  There are even free images available on the NND blog if you don’t have any of their stamps yet.
