Hello, again! Have you checked out Whimsy Stamps’ March release? It’s just amazing and overflowing with so much cuteness! I’m sharing two cards with you today, and the first one uses the super fun Donut Birthdays clear set.
I stamped my images with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics. After cutting them out, I gave them a 3-D effect by rolling a stylus over them while they were face down on a foam mat. To further give the illusion of dimension, I placed two layers of foam tape on the backs of each donut.
I trimmed down some white cardstock, rounded the corners, and adhered it to a white card. After stamping my sentiment with Memento ink, I colored it with Copics and added all of my donuts to the card. With a white gel pen, I added some details and highlights to my images before adding lots of sparkle with Clear Sparkle Overlay. I finished the card with a scattering of Summer Breeze Enamel Dots (Don’t they remind you of sprinkles?!).
My second card features the adorable image from Make a Wish. Again, I stamped the image with Memento ink and colored it with Copics before adding some white highlights and Clear Sparkle Overlay. Using the Star Galaxy Stencil, I added some sparkly stars with Nuvo Glimmer Paste. Once the paste was dry, I attached the panel to a top-folding, white card.
The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs’ Easter Express paper pad. I die-cut the top strip with the new Straight Edger Die Set and wrapped it with some yellow embroidery floss before adhering it to my card. For my sentiment, I die-cut the word “believe” from the Wonderland Word Die Set twice – once from blue cardstock and another from white. I layered the two die-cuts together onto my card, added a blue gem, and brushed on more Clear Sparkle Overlay.
