Inky Paws Challenge 67: Spotlight Coloring

Hi, friends!  It’s time for the start of a new Inky Paws Challenge, and this one is a sketch.

I used the new Company of Cats stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs’ February release.  Onto Bristol Smooth paper, I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black ink.  Referring to the sketch, I highlighted one kitty by watercoloring him with my Zigs.  I couldn’t resist adding some polka dots to his little bow tie (My husband has one just like it.) with my white gel pen.  After die-cutting the panel, I adhered it to a black cardbase.

To create the polaroid frame for my kitty, I die-cut some blue cardstock with Craftin Desert Diva’s Pocket Pieces HI dies.  I white heat-embossed a sentiment from Company of Cats onto the frame and glued it to my card.  I created some patterned paper flags, which I attached to the frame, along with a pink enamel heart.

Would you like a chance to win a a$20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs?  Just play along with the sketch, and link up your project by Friday, March 16th, at midnight CST.

Thanks for stopping by!

Super cool! Such a fun way to spotlight just part of that big image and to use the sketch too! What a great layout!
