Hi there! I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve been asked to join the amazing design team for Your Next Stamp! When I started blogging two years ago, one of my first stamp sets was a YNS set, and I’ve loved them ever since.
For my first post as a DT member, I’m sharing a card inspired by YNS Sketch and Color Challenge #84. I must confess that I’m not a big fan of reptiles, but the ones in One in a Chameleon are just so darn cute! After stamping my image with Black Olive Premium Dye Ink, I colored him with Copics and cut him out. Naturally, I added some details with a white gel pen and coated his eyeball with Glossy Accents.
For my background I created a stencil by die-cutting some white paper with the Puffy Cloud Border Die Set. I laid my homemade stencil over some Bristol Smooth paper and inked it up with Squeezed Lemonade distress ink, moving the stencil around for variation and interest. I die-cut some clouds – one from white cardstock and one from vellum – with the same die. Onto the white border, I stamped a sentiment from One in a Chameleon with Versafine Onyx Black ink and clear heat-embossed it.
I adhered my background panel to a white cardbase, added the vellum cloud border on top, and popped up the embossed cloud with foam tape. I attached the chameleon with dimensional adhesive and finished with some Spooky Cute Sparkly Gumdrops.
Thanks for stopping by! If you’d like a chance to win a gift certificate to Your Next Stamp, be sure to link up a project by Thursday, March 8th, at midnight EST. You can use the sketch, the colors, or both for your project.
