Adding Texture to a Copic-Colored Image

Hello, again!  I have this “thing” for teddy bears:  They’re just so soft and snugly and sweet!  This one from Whimsy Stamps, called Teddy with Heart Balloon, is no exception – I mean, don’t you just want to squeeze him?!

After I colored him with Copics, I used some colorless blender solution on an old rag to give him the fuzzy texture of a real teddy bear.  This is only my second time trying this technique, and I definitely need more practice.  I think I pushed a little too hard with the rag, which gave me less definition in my texture.

I die-cut some white cardstock with Waffle Flower’s Lacey Layers dies and inked it up with Tumbled Glass Distress ink.  I stamped some hearts from Cute Cupid with the same ink (Evidently, I had not cleaned my stamp well from a prior use, so the hearts have a pink tint to them).  Using my MISTI, I stamped a sentiment from Love Has Four Paws with Versafine Onyx Black Ink.

I trimmed down some rainbow plaid paper from Lawn Fawn, adhered it to a white cardbase, and added my die-cut panel on top.  After cutting out the teddy with my ScanNCut2 (which, for whatever reason, cut the image into two pieces), I popped him up with foam tape.  I added some highlights with a white gel pen, some Glossy Accents to his nose, and some Clear Sparkle Overlay to the balloon.  Some clear sparkles provide even more sparkle.

Thanks for stopping by!
