Inky Paws Challenge 66: Baby Theme

It’s Monday, again, (I know – ugh.) and the start of a new Inky Paws Challenge!  The theme for this one is baby.  Check out the darling inspiration photo.

I just love the images in the Sending Hugs set, but the coolest part is that the dies cut out the characters’ arms, allowing them to hold things!  I thought it would be cute to have Winston the bear holding a baby bear.  I stamped both images, colored them with Copics, and added some details with a white gel pen.  After diecutting them with the coordinating dies, I ended up fussy-cutting the little bear as I didn’t care for the white outline.

I dry-embossed some tan cardstock and adhered it to a white card.  I die-cut two tags from some old patterned paper with the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.  I used the coordinating dies to die-cut the rickrack trim and hole reinforcer.  After adhering the two tags together, I added them to my card with foam tape and popped up my colored images on top.

The sentiment is from Simply Sentimental.  I stamped it with black ink onto a strip of white cardstock, which I bannered at one end.  I created another banner from patterned paper and off-set the two banners on my card.  I embellished the card with some twine and a scattering of peach-colored sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!  If you’d like a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs, be sure to link up a baby-themed project by Friday, March 2nd, at midnight CST.
