Hello, friends! This fantastic shaker card features the gorgeous Mini Scenery: Bed of Roses stamp by Winnie & Walter. The colors were inspired by the January Color Combo Challenge on the W&W blog, which runs until March 9.
The Bed of Roses stamp makes such an elegant and easy shaker card! I started by stamping the image onto embossable acetate with Versamark ink and then gold heat-embossed it. To create the pink background for my roses, I inked up some white cardstock with Worn Lipstick and Abandoned Coral Distress Oxides.
There is not a coordinating die for Bed of Roses, but lucky for me I own a Brother ScanNCut2. I simply stamped the image in black ink onto pink cardstock and scanned it with my ScanNCut2, which cut it out almost perfectly (You could achieve the same result with an Xacto knife or paper trimmer). I actually ended up doing this twice and layering the two frames together. After adhering my embossed acetate to my frame, I backed it with two layers of foam tape. I added a bunch of different sequins before covering it with my inked panel.
For my sentiment I die-cut four In a Word: Believe Cutaway from dark pink cardstock and layered them together. My companion sentiment is from In Bloom: Debra’s Poinsettia with Lydia Evans. I gold heat-embossed “in miracles” onto a strip of brown cardstock, which I popped up with foam tape. For even more sparkle and shine, I brushed the die-cut with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay.
Thanks for stopping by!
