A Pretty Pink Princess for Inky Paws Challenge 63

Hello!  Today is the start of a new Inky Paws Challenge, and the theme is Pretty in Pink.  This challenge is right up my alley because pink is my favorite color – yay!

“Pretty in Pink” just screams princess, don’t ya think?!  It does to me – maybe because my daughter went through the pink-princess stage – so I pulled out Once Upon a Princess from Newton’s Nook Designs.  I stamped my images onto Bristol Smooth paper with Versafine Onyx Black ink and colored them with my Zigs.  I cut them out and added a few highlights with a white gel pen.

My background was created with Worn Lipstick and Festive Berries distress ink, and the die-cut hill was inked up with Shabby Shutters and Mowed Lawn.  Some water droplets help soften the background and add a magical feeling.  Once my panel was dry, I gold heat-embossed a sentiment from Once Upon a Princess and adhered the panel to a white card.

I adhered my colored images to my card, popping up the princess with foam tape.  After framing my scene with a die-cut pink frame, I added some sparkle with Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay and some clear sequins.

Thanks for stopping by!  If you’d like a chance at winning a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs, be sure to link up a project by Friday, January 12th at midnight CST.  I can’t wait to see what you create!
