Happy Holidays: Inky Paws Challenge 61

Hello!  Today is the start of Inky Paws Challenge 61, and this time we have a sketch for you.

I decided to play with Newton’s Nook’s Terrific Terriers set, but this time I colored a Yorkie.  I googled “Yorkshire Terrier” before I started coloring this cute pup; I had no idea how many color variations that breed has!  Hopefully, my version isn’t too unrealistic.  Using a white gel pen and a black marker, I gave her a plaid bow.  Actually, the first time I colored the bow, I hated it, so I stamped and colored another one, which I fussy cut and adhered over the original.  To give her some shine, I added Glossy Accents to her eyes and nose.

I die-cut some plaid paper from Echo Park Paper’s A Perfect Christmas and adhered it to a black card.  I die-cut a red bow with Paper Smooches’ Baby Bow die and adhered it along with a strip of red cardstock.  To make the bow sparkly, I added some clear Wink of Stella.  I die-cut a vellum rectangle and white heat-embossed a sentiment from Snow Globe Scenes.  My sweet pup was popped up with foam tape on the vellum, which was then adhered to my card.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you’ll play along with us for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs.  You have until Friday, December 15th at midnight CST to link up your project.  Good luck!
