Inky Paws Challenge 60: Snowy Sky

Hello, friends!  Today starts a new Inky Paws Challenge, and the theme is “Add Sparkle.”  Now, this one is easy-peasy!  I mean, what cardmaker doesn’t like to add a bit of bling to her card?!

I just love all of the little images that come with the Snow Globe Scenes set and decided to focus on those cute houses for my card.  I stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored it with Copics.  After fussy-cutting the houses, I hit the edges with a black marker and added some clear Wink of Stella to the windows.

That background really steals the show, don’t you think?  I placed the Snowfall Stencil over some Bristol Smooth paper and inked it up with Versmark.  After removing the stencil, I embossed with some Holographic Embossing Powder (The sparkle in real life is amazing!).  I used the following colors of Distress Ink for the sky:  Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot.

Once my background was dry, I adhered it to a white card and added the houses on top.  I created a slight shadow underneath the houses with a Copic marker.  That beautiful sentiment is from Winston’s Home for Christmas.  I heat-embossed it in gold and added a red enamel heart from my stash.

I hope you’ll come play along with us for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs.  You have until Friday, December 1st, at midnight CST, to link up your project.

Have a great day!
