Whimsy Stamps Release Week: Snowman Tidings CAS

Hi there, friends!  My card today features the new CAS (Customer Appreciation Stamp) Whimsy Stamps will be giving FREE to orders of $75 or more placed during the month of October.  I really enjoy making scene cards, and this set is perfect for that!

I started by stamping all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink (except for the cardinal, of course) and coloring them with Copics.  After diecutting the images with the coordinating dies, I added clear Wink of Stella to the snowman.

Onto Bristol Smooth paper, I ink-blended Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean distress inks to create my sky.  I flicked on some watered-down white paint and heat-set the panel with my heat gun.  Using my MISTI, I layered two sentiments from the set, stamping both with Versamark and heat-embossing in white.  I die-cut two hills using the Stitched Border Die Trio and foam-mounted them to my sky.  I adhered the trees before popping up the second hill and the adorable snowman on top.

As I wanted to make an easel card, I scored some white cardstock (trimmed to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″) at 2 1/8″ and 4 1/4″ and folded the card at those marks.  I adhered my background above the 2 1/8″ mark, only putting glue on the bottom half of the background panel.  To help the card stay open for display, I die-cut multiple “friend”s using a retired Whimsy die, adhered them together, and glued them to the inside of the card.

Thanks for stopping by!
