Hello, friends! I’m back with some more inspiration for Inky Paws Challenge 56.
Although the colors for this challenge are purple, black, orange and white, I again opted not to do a Halloween-themed card. I started off by stamping this cute kitty from Cosmic Newton with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Bristol Smooth paper. I colored the image with Zig Clean Color markers and a waterbrush. Once the image was dry, I brushed some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Overlay over the spaceship and added Glossy Accents to the window.
I dusted off my Gansai Tambi watercolors and created a space background for my space kitty. Truthfully, I made four backgrounds until I was happy with the way one turned out. After the watercolors were dry, I flicked on some watered-down white and gold paint splatters. Once all of that was dry, I die-cut a slot for my slider element into the top panel.
After adding my slider disc to my space kitty, I placed him in the die-cut opening and glued a small cardstock circle on the back side of the disc. I put two layers of foam tape on the back of the watercolored panel and adhered it onto one of the discarded ones before gluing the whole thing to a white card. I die-cut a white banner, heat-embossed a sentiment from the set in gold, and popped that up onto my card.
I hope I’ve inspired you to play along with Inky Paws Challenge 56! You have until Friday, October 6, at midnight CST to link up a project for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs.
Have a great day!
