JeT’aime: Inspiration for Inky Paws Challenge #55

Hi there!  Have you joined the Inky Paws Challenge yet?  If not, here’s a little something that will hopefully inspire you (just in case the chance to win a gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs isn’t incentive enough! 😉 ).

That cute kitty in the beret is from Newton Dreams of Paris.  I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, masked him and then heat-embossed the Eiffel Tour in black.  With my mask still in place, I ink-blended with Lucky Clover and Salty Ocean distress inks.  Once I had removed my mask, I flicked on and blotted off some water droplets before stamping my sentiment and coloring with Copics.

I pretty much copied the challenge sketch (see below) for my layout.  After embossing some black cardstock with a harlequin embossing folder, I trimmed it down and adhered it to my card.  My purple patterned paper was created by repeatedly stamping some purple cardstock with the paisley image from Beautiful Plumage.  I trimmed that down and added that to my card before adding a strip of pink paper from my stash.  I die-cut my colored image with a circle die and popped it up onto a die-cut scalloped circle, to which I also added foam tape for dimension.  A small pink enamel heart from my stash finished my card.

Thank you so much for stopping by!  Remember, you have until Friday, September 22nd, at midnight CST to link up a project for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate!
