Newton Shaker Card: Inky Paws Challenge 54 Inspiration

Hello, again!  I’m back with a reminder about the current Inky Paws Challenge:  Use Polka Dots.  You have until Friday, September 8, at midnight CST to link up a project for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs.

For my card, I stamped this adorable image from Newton’s Birthday Bash with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics.  After cutting it out, I added some clear Wink of Stella to the bow.  The background was ink-blended with Worn Lipstick and Wilted Violet distress inks and flicked with water.  Once that was dry, I adhered it to a white card and added Newton on top.

I die-cut a circle from white cardstock and embossed the panel with a polka dot embossing folder.  I backed the opening with acetate and then covered the panel with foam tape.  After adding some sequins to my card, I covered them with the embossed panel and added a die-cut circle frame to the window.  Originally, I had planned to add a sentiment to the front of my card, but changed my mind and stamped it on the inside.  To fill some of the empty space on the front, I tucked some pink twine underneath the front panel (I used some strong liquid glue to hold it in place.) and tied a bow.

Thanks for stopping by!  I look forward to seeing your projects for this Inky Paws Challenge!
