Hello there. The cutest hippos ever are having a party today! This is my first time playing with MFT Stamps’ Happy Hippos, but definitely not my last as they are just too adorable!
The layout for my card was inspired by MFT Sketch Challenge 344. I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copics, and cut them out. I added some details to the images with a white gel pen.
I die-cut some Bristol Smooth paper with MFT’s Stitched Scallop Basic Edge die. To create my background, I masked off the ground, placed Echo Park Paper’s Snow Fall Stencil down, and sponged on ink that matched my coloring. After removing the stencil and mask, I masked off the polka dot background and sponged on some ink for the ground.
I trimmed down some Lawn Fawn Perfectly Plaid Rainbow paper and adhered it to a top-folding card. I popped up my die-cut panel with craft foam and adhered my images on top. What’s a party without streamers?! These beauties were created with Reverse Confetti’s Linked Garland dies. After adhering them to my card, I trimmed off the excess. I die-cut a sentiment strip with MFT’s Stitched Sentiment Strips dies and heat-embossed a sentiment from Happy Hippos. I adhered that to my card, again trimming off the excess. Then I went to town with clear Wink of Stella and also added some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh (easily my all-time favorite sequins).
Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you have a wonderful day!
