You’re an A+ Kind of Friend

Hello, friends.  A line from Shakespeare just popped into my head:  “Ask not for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”  Actually, it tolls for my kids because next week they go back to school – back to early mornings and homework and busy schedules.  On second thought, I guess it tolls for me, too.  🙁  Oh, well, let’s just distract ourselves with a cute card, shall we?

I just love the new Schoolhouse set from Neat & Tangled!  I have some teacher friends, so I thought it would be fun to make a card for one of them.  I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, colored them with Copics, and cut them out with my ScanNCut2.  I added some clear Zig Wink of Stella to the metal band on the pencil.

This card came together pretty quickly.  I adhered my images to a white card, popping up the fox with foam tape, and “grounded” them with some colorful washi tape from my stash.  Onto a strip of black cardstock, I stamped and heat-embossed a sentiment from Schoolhouse.  After popping that up onto my card, I finished with some clear sequins.

Well, I’m off to go shopping for school supplies – much to my kids’ (and my wallet’s) dismay.  Thanks for stopping by!

I’m linking up this card with the following challenges:  Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge:  You’ve Got the Edge, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes7 Kids Challenge #10:  Anything Goes, and Addicted to Stamps Challenge #252:  Make Your Mark.
