Hello! Have you linked up a project for Inky Paws Challenge 68? If not, I have a card today that will hopefully inspire you to do so! I just love the colors of this challenge: Pink and purple with a splash of orange is purr-fection!
I stamped this image from Newton Loves Cake with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored him with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol. The patterned paper was created by stamping the swirled flower from Lovely Blooms in the challenge colors. I love making my own patterned paper, and this image reminds me of swirled frosting on a cupcake. After die-cutting my stamped paper with a scalloped frame die, I layered it onto some orange cardstock and a lavender card.
I added an embossed strip of pink paper and popped up Newton with foam tape onto a die-cut purple circle, which I also popped up with foam tape. The sentiment is from Newton Loves Cake and was stamped in black onto a die-cut tag. I added some bakers’ twine from my stash (Actually, every package I’ve received from Newton’s Nook Designs has been wrapped in this twine, and being the thrifty girl I am, I always save it!) and popped that under the circle. For some sparkle, I added clear Wink of Stella to the frosting, some Glossy Accents to the sprinkles, and some sequins around the image of Newton.
Thank you for stopping by! I hope you link up a project: There’s a $20 gift certificate to Newton’s Nook Designs at stake! You have until Friday, July 14th, at midnight CST to add your link.
