Your Next Stamp: It’s a Girl Thing

Hello!  I’m back with another card as a guest designer for Your Next Stamp.  Instead of releasing new stamps this month, Your Next Stamp is re-releasing several of their older stamps, and the designers were challenged to use those stamps to create a “girly” project.  For my card I used Kyle the Koala.  Isn’t he the cutest thing?!

I stamped him with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored him with Copics and cut him out with my ScanNCut2.  I also added some details with a white gel pen.

The patterned paper is from Simple Stories’ Vintage Bliss.  I adhered the plaid paper to a white card and added a strip of the pink paper.  After die-cutting a scalloped oval from the teal paper, I popped it onto my card with foam tape and added Kyle with more foam tape.  I heat-embossed a sentiment from Kyle the Koala onto a banner die-cut with the Cool Tag Banner Dies and tucked it under the oval.  To finish the card, I added some pink, matte sequins.

Be sure to stop by the YNS blog and leave a comment on the appropriate post by July 10th.  One lucky commenter will win a stamp set of their choice!

Have a great day!
