Hello, friends! I’m honored to be guest designing for Where Creativity Meets C9 this month! Today starts a new challenge, and the theme is embossing (dry or wet). I have had Concord & 9th’s Lucky stamps and dies for awhile now and, I’m ashamed to say, have not used them, so I pulled them out for this challenge.
My galaxy background was created by inking up some Bristol Smooth paper with the following colors of Distress Oxide ink: Fossilized Amber, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, Broken China, and Faded Jeans. I sprinkled on a little water and blotted it before adding some droplets of Shimmer Spritz. I left the panel to dry for a couple of hours.
Using the Lucky dies, I die-cut the thin word once from blue glitter cardstock and the shadow three times from purple cardstock and layered them together. To ensure good placement and clean stamping of the rest of my sentiment, I used my MISTI. After heat-embossing the sentiment in gold, I also heat-embossed a few stars from the Lucky set. Once that was done, I adhered my die-cut and popped up the panel with foam tape onto a white card.
Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you have a fabulous day. Don’t forget to link up a project for a chance at a $25 gift certificate to Concord & 9th!
