Hello, friends! It’s been awhile since I posted – sorry! I’ve been super busy with home improvement projects, upcoming DT projects, and traveling, but, hopefully, things will settle down in another week or so.
Not too long ago, I picked up Newton’s Nook Designs Lovely Blooms but hadn’t had a chance to color them, so I pulled them out for today’s card. I stamped the images with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, did some simple Copic coloring, and cut them out with my ScanNCut2.
For the stripes, I used Whimsy Stamps’ Get In Line set, Peacock Feathers Distress Ink, and my MISTI. I inked up the stamp and spritzed it with water before stamping onto Bristol Smooth paper. Once my stamping was dry, I used MFT Stamps’ Stitched Basic Edges and Stitched Basic Edges 2 Dies to create the tag shape. After adhering the tag to a top-folding white card, I popped up my blooms on top with foam tape (The pink flower has two layers of foam tape) and tucked my leaves underneath.
Again using my MISTI (love that thing!), I stamped a sentiment from NND’s Beautiful Plumage set with Versafine and heat-embossed it in clear. To finish the card, I added some Nuvo Crystal Drops in Apple Green to the flower centers and some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.
Thanks so much for stopping by. Have a beautiful day!
I’m submitting this card to the following challenges: Inky Paws Challenge #48: Use Stripes, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Emboss It, Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Touchy Feely, 7Kids Challenge #9: Anything Goes, and The Flower Challenge #9: Anything Goes.
