Hi there! I’m back with another card featuring the adorable Weather Gnomes set released on Thursday by Craftin Desert Divas. I colored this sweet image with Copics before cutting it out. To create the cloud background, I die-cut a mask with one of the Stitched Scallop Dies, placed it onto a panel of Bristol Smooth paper, and ink-blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink. I moved the mask around and ink-blended a bunch of times. Maybe too many? I certainly got carried away as there are lots of clouds here!
To create the arc, I borrowed my son’s protractor, but you could use a bowl or circle die instead. I placed my colored image onto the background and marked with a pencil where I wanted the arc to be. I trimmed it out with an Xacto knife and then backed the opening with clear acetate. I ink-blended Mustard Seed Distress Ink onto another piece of Bristol Smooth paper, flicked on some water, and blotted it with a towel. After covering the back of my sky background with foam tape, I placed some Flower Power Sequins on top of the acetate and covered it with my yellow panel. To hide the foam tape at the bottom of the arc, I die-cut some grass with the Outdoor Landscape 2 Dies and ink-blended it with Mowed Lawn. I adhered the entire panel to a white card and popped up the little gnome with foam tape. I heat-embossed the sentiment onto a vellum banner die-cut with the Flag Banner Dies and adhered it to my card, trimming off the excess. Some Zig Wink of Stella on the cute gnome finished the card.
Thanks for spending some time with me. Have a wonderful weekend!
