Happy Mother’s Day to all of you moms out there! I hope you have a special day filled with lots of wonderful memories. This card is the one I made for my own mom, who is my biggest supporter and encourager. Love you, Mom!
I stamped the gorgeous bouquet from Concord & 9th’s Hello Lovely with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored it with Copics. As I don’t have the coordinating dies and my ScanNCut2 wanted to do some weird cutting, I trimmed it out by hand. To add some interest to my white card and to pick up on the black spots in the bouquet, I splattered some watered-down black paint onto my card. I popped up my flowers with foam tape and allowed part of the image to go off the card. I trimmed off the excess and tucked some of those pieces back into the bouquet in spots.
The sentiment is a combination of Simon Says Stamp Happy and WPlus9’s Love Mom stamp set. I die-cut the word happy and adhered it to my card. I heat-embossed the other part of the sentiment in white and popped up the strip with foam tape. To add a little more interest and dimension to the bouquet, I added both black and clear Nuvo drops.
Thank you stopping by. Have a fantastic day!
I’m entering this card into the following challenges: Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge: Going Dotty, Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge #9: Florals, and The Flower Challenge #8: CASE a DT Member (Vivien).
