Mother’s Day Card with Altenew’s Beautiful Day

Hi, there!  After coveting Altenew’s Beautiful Day set for a long time, I finally snatched it up during a recent sale.  My mother-in-law is quite the gardener and has several peony plants in her garden, so I knew this set would be perfect for her Mother’s Day card.

To create my peony border, I did lots of masking and stamping.  It took awhile, but I love how it turned out!  After I had stamped my border, I fussy-cut it and popped up it with foam tape onto a white card.  The sentiment is from WPlus9’s Love Mom set and was heat-embossed with copper embossing powder.  Some pearls by Queen & Co. add the perfect finishing touch.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous day!

I’m submitting this card to the following challenges:  Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  A Hint of Pink (The base layer was stamped with a pale, blush pink.), Altenew’s May 2017 Inspiration Challenge, and The Heart Desires Challenge 12.

That was my first, and possibly still my favorite, Altenew set! This looks fabulous as a border- and I love the added dimension you created with fussy cutting & popping it up. No doubt your Mother-in-law thought it was beautiful!! Thanks for joining us at The Heart Desires Challenge!
