Happy Friday!  Last day ’til the weekend!!!  (Can you tell I’m excited?)

For my card today, the oh-so-cute octopus from Lawn Fawn’s Octopi My Heart is graduating from school.  Lol!  Okay, I know fish travel in schools, not octopi (or at least I don’t think so), but I couldn’t resist.  🙂  Okay, moving on.

I first stamped the graduation cap from Your Next Stamp’s Get Your Fiction On with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  I masked that and then stamped the octopus and bow tie.  I colored my image with Copics, added some details with a white gel pen, and cut it out with my ScanNCut2.

To create my underwater scene, I ink-blended Mermaid Lagoon, Peacock Feathers, and Tumbled Glass distress inks onto Bristol smooth paper.  I flicked on some water and blotted it with a towel.  The frame was die-cut from a panel of white cardstock with Sizzix’s Fancy Labels dies and backed with acetate and foam tape.  I adhered the octopus to the ink-blended panel, added some Mermaid Lagoon Sequins from Craftin Desert Divas, and topped it with my shaker frame before adhering the shaker to my white card.  I heat-embossed the sentiment from Get Your Fiction On in silver onto blue cardstock, which I bannered and popped up onto my card.

Thank you for stopping by.  I hope you have a fabulous weekend!

I’m entering this card into the following challenges:  Lawn Fawnatics Challenge 3:  Outstanding Occasions, 7 Kids Challenge #7:  Anything Goes, Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge:  Anything Goes, and Cupcake Inspirations Challenge 404:  Animals.
