Hello, again! Are you enjoying the wonderful projects the DT has made for the new release? Today, we are sharing projects made with the oh-so-cute Stormy Weather stamp set. This set has some of the most adorable critters, and the sentiments are so sweet.
I stamped this adorable kitty with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored her with Copics, and cut her out with my ScanNCut2. The colors were inspired by this beautiful plaid paper from Doodlebug Designs’ Easter Express. I die-cut the paper with the largest Fancy Frames die and created the window with one of the Inside Scalloped Circle dies. I backed the opening with acetate and covered the panel with foam tape. I ink-blended some Tumbled Glass onto my card, flicked on some water, and blotted it with a towel. The sequins are from the Glimmering Gemstones, Sprinkled Sugar (no longer available), and Honeycomb sequin mixes. I placed the sequins onto my card and adhered my die-cut panel over them.
I adhered the kitty to the acetate and added some raindrops to the umbrella with Nuvo drops, some Glossy Accents to the kitty’s boots, and some Zig Wink of Stella to her hat. I die-cut a banner with the Flag Banner Dies, heat-embossed a sentiment from Stormy Weather onto it, and popped it up onto my card.
I just love this little duck! He was also stamped with Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics, and I added some highlights with a white gel pen. For the background, I watercolored some Bristol Smooth paper with distress ink (I forgot to write down which color; sorry!). To create the water, I ink-blended Salty Ocean onto Bristol paper, flicked it with water, and die-cut it with the Outdoor Landscape 2 Dies. The green border was die-cut with the same die.
The yellow paper is from Doodlebug Designs’ Hello Sunshine paper pad. I adhered it to a top-folding card and arranged my die-cuts and watercolored background on top. I tucked the little duck under the water and added some Glossy Accents to his hat and the umbrella. The clouds were die-cut with the Rainbow Dies, which were revealed on Sunday. I heat-embossed in silver a sentiment from Stormy Weather onto one of the clouds before adhering them to my card. Some Mermaid Lagoon Sequins add the perfect finishing touch.
