Hello, again! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. We went to a War of 1812 reenactment, which was wonderful. I love Jane Austen and the fashion of that time, so I really enjoyed seeing all of the costumes. The best part, though, was seeing how interested my kids were and hearing them ask questions.
Today, I have a card featuring MFT’s Cool Cat, and the cat I chose just may be my favorite one of the set. After stamping him with Tuxedo Black Ink, I colored him with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol. I love the soft look this technique gives. I die-cut him with the coordinating dies and then went to work on my card.
The plaid paper is from MFT, and the floral paper is from Doodlebug Designs’ Hello Sunshine. The floral paper was die-cut with Simon Says Stamp A2 Curved Edge. I die-cut the scalloped frame with Craftin Desert Divas’ Inside Scalloped Circle Dies and the banners with CDD’s Flag Banner Dies. I stamped and heat-embossed a sentiment from Cool Cat onto the green banner before adhering all of the elements to my card, popping up the kitty and sentiment with foam tape. For interest I added a button with twine and some Nuvo drops.
Thank you for stopping by my little corner of the ‘net! I hope you have a wonderful day.
I’m submitting this card to the following challenges: MFT’s Wednesday Sketch Challenge 324, SSS Wednesday Challenge: Bit O’ Green, SSS Monday Challenge: Layer It Up, The Heart Desires Challenge #10, and 7 Kids’ Challenge #6: Anything Goes.
