SPD Mix It Up Challenge 27: Sending Hugs

Hello and Happy Friday!  It’s been a crazy week here, so I am definitely ready for the weekend!  But, first, I have a cute and quick card to share with you today.  Check it out.

It’s amazing how one cute critter and some colorful paper can make a simple card look fabulous!

That adorable monkey is from SugarPea Designs Caring Critters set.  I stamped him with Tuxedo Black Ink, cut him out with my ScanNCut2, and colored him with Copics (I’ve decided to list my Copic colors in my posts to help me later when I need some inspiration, so I’ve listed them below.  Hopefully, you will find them useful, too!).

To make the cardbase, I used MFT Stamps’ Circle Flop Card die.  I used the same die to cut all of my patterned papers, trimming some to allow for a mat.  I adhered the papers to my card and popped the monkey up with foam tape.  The sentiment is from the same SPD set.  I stamped it in Tuxedo Black ink and went over it with a glitter pen (I also went over the heart on the envelope the monkey’s holding.).  Three white enamel hearts complete this simple card.

Copics: E30, E31, E33, E35, E56 (fur); E0000, E00, E21, E11 (face and tummy); R20, R22 (ears and nose); YG13, YG17, G46 (vine); and R22, R24, R29, N1 (envelope).

Thanks for stopping by my little corner of the net.  I hope you have a fantastic day!

I’m submitting this card for SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge 27:  Anything Goes.
