Colored Pencils Over Watercolor with Craftin’ Desert Divas Santa’s Helpers

Hello, there.  Did you see Craftin’ Desert Divas newest release?  It is filled with some adorable stamps and gorgeous dies!  I couldn’t resist Santa’s Helpers; the critters are too cute!  I colored two of them for today’s card.  Check it out!

Aren’t those foxes adorable?!  I stamped them onto watercolor paper with Versafine and heat-embossed them in clear.  I colored them with my Zig markers.  After they were dry, I colored them again with my Prismacolor pencils for extra shading and detail.  I love the texture that created – almost like fur.

For my background, I blended Tumbled Glass distress ink onto my card and topped that with a hill die-cut with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Hillside dies.  To frame my scene, I die-cut a scalloped rectangle with Waffle Flower’s Scalloped Rectangle dies and popped that up with foam tape onto my card.  I adhered the foxes onto the hill and added some shading with a pale blue Copic marker.  The sentiment is from Hero Arts’ Hello set.  I stamped it in Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-embossed it in white.  I bannered one end of the strip and tucked the other end under my frame.  A sparkly snowflake from EK Success adds the finishing touch.

Thank you for sharing your day with me.  I hope the rest of yours is fabulous!

I’m entering this card into Craftin’ Desert Divas Monthly Social Media Challenge and Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge: Shine Bright Like a Diamond.
