Hello, crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Mine was crazy busy with very little time for crafting. Boo! I did manage to put together one card, however. It helped that I had colored the images earlier, so assembling the card was easy peasy!
Those adorable critters are from Neat & Tangled’s Beary Merry set, which was part of their latest release. When I saw this set, I knew I HAD to have it! I stamped the critters with Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with Copics before die-cutting them with the coordinating dies. The cool thing about the die for the bear is that it trims around his arms so that you can tuck things into them. How awesome is that?! I decided my polar bear should be giving his little penguin friend a big squeeze, so I adhered the penguin under the bear’s arms. I added some details with a white gel pen.
For the background I laid a stencil over my white card and blended on some Peacock Feathers distress Ink. I adhered my bear on top. The sentiment is from Hero Arts’ Hello set. I stamped it in Versamark onto a strip of black cardstock and heat-embossed it in white. I bannered one end of the strip and popped it up onto my card with foam tape. A red enamel heart from CTMH adds the perfect finishing touch.
Thanks for spending some time with me. I hope you have a fantastic week!
