Hi there, friend! Today is Day 2 of The 30 Day Coloring Challenge by Kathy Racoosin. I’ve been trying to improve my Copic coloring, and this is the perfect opportunity to practice! Although I have a long way to go, I’m rather pleased with today’s card. I hope you like it!
The scene was created by stamping and masking images from Your Next Stamp’s Phoebe With Wagon. I colored everything with Copics and added some polka dots to Phoebe’s dress with a white gel pen and some sparkle to the candle’s flame with a glitter gel pen. I matted the panel with some teal cardstock. The purple scallop trim was die-cut with Lawn Fawn’s Stitched Scalloped Borders die. I adhered the matted scene onto the purple strip. The patterned paper is from Doodlebug Designs Rainbow Swiss Dot Petite Prints collection. I trimmed it to fit my card and adhered the stamped panel on top.
The sentiment is from Simon Says Stamp Happy 3×4. I stamped part of it onto a strip of black cardstock with Versamark and heat-embossed it in white. I bannered one end and popped the strip up with foam tape onto my card. “Happy” was stamped directly onto the card with Versafine and heat-embossed with clear powder.
I hope you enjoyed my card! Thank you for stopping by.
I’m entering this card into Your Next Stamp’s Sketch Challenge 51.
