You’re Dog-gone Awesome

Hi, there!  I’m back today with a card for MFT Stamps’ Sketch Challenge 301.  The sketch has a circle, which I exchanged for a star.  Check it out!

Using MFT’s Star STAX dies, I die-cut a star into a piece of Freshly Squeezed Chevron paper.  I placed that over my top-folding card and lightly marked with a pencil where the star would be.  I blended some yellow ink onto my card and then adhered the die-cut piece on top.

I stamped three of the dogs from MFT’s Lucky Dog set.  The dog on the right was masked before a flower from Adorable Elephants was added to his mouth.  All of the images were colored with Copics.  The poodle and Corgi were die-cut with the coordinating dies.  The Schnauzer was partially die-cut, and then I fussy-cut around the flower.  I popped up the poodle with foam tape and adhered the other dogs flat.

The sentiment is from the Lucky Dog set.  I stamped it with Versamark and heat-embossed it in white.  I bannered the ends before adhering it to my card.  To finish off the card, I added some clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh.

Thanks for sharing your day with me.  I hope the rest of yours is “dog-gone awesome”!
