Thinking of You: One-Layer Scene

Hello, friends!  I’ve seen so many gorgeous one-layer cards on social media that I was inspired to create one of my own.  The stamping portion does require planning (not always my strong suit!) as one has to decide which images will be in the foreground because those have to be stamped first.  Then it’s just a matter of masking, stamping, and coloring.

For my scene I used the new Polka Dot Pals Harley stamp from Whimsy Stamps.  The mushrooms and snail are from Polka Dot Pals Imogen, and the facial features are from Polka Dot Pals Syeda.  I stamped those images with Memento London Fog ink.  The clouds are from the Syeda set, and I stamped them in light blue.  The trees are part of the Create a Scene – Forest set and were stamped in light green.

I colored everything with Copics, using tips and techniques from Barbara Sproatmeyer and Faye Wynn Jones (Those gals are WAY more talented than I am, but we can aspire, right?!).  Once the coloring was done, I die-cut the scene with the Wonky Stitched Rectangles Dies.  The sentiment is from the Painted Sayings set, which I stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink.

Thanks for stopping by!
